About

I'm a Lyon-based freelance senior software engineer, working for 8+ years on critical systems: the national power grid, medical applications handling data for millions of patients, production AI platforms. My role is to design architectures that hold up under load and reduce technical risk where failure is expensive.

I work the whole vertical: large-scale data pipelines (Java, Spring Boot, Apache Spark, Airflow, Kafka), backend services, and web applications with high functional complexity (TypeScript, Angular, React). In practice: between the data schema and the screen that displays it, there is nobody to convince. I carry both sides and the decisions that connect them — which is usually where projects break.

I work on long-term missions, autonomously or embedded in a team, on architecture, scaling, technical debt recovery, or team upskilling. If you have a system that needs to hold up, let's talk.

Where I step in

From data architecture to production applications

Where I step in

From data architecture to production applications

Complex application state

Real-time updates, offline-first, heavy data volumes: I design applications that stay maintainable as business logic gets denser.

Business first, code second

I get into your domain before writing code — the right architecture decisions come from business constraints, not the other way around.

Stack & Ecosystem

Java and Spark on the data side, TypeScript and React on the interface side. Same Clean Architecture foundation, same tests, same CI on both — so the chain does not break in the middle.

Streaming & Real-time

Kafka, Spring Boot consumers, Spark jobs: streams that absorb traffic spikes without dropping an event, and that you can replay when something breaks.

Software Craftsmanship

Clean Architecture, TDD, shared dev standards. The point is not code purity — it is that a developer joining in six months can change a business rule without breaking something else.

Observability & Metrics

A pipeline that fails silently costs more than a slow one. Metrics, alerts and traces across DAGs and services, so you catch the drift before the incident.

Experiences

May 2024 — Now · 2 years 4 months Software & Data Engineer · Enedis

Engineering high-volume data pipelines and core applications for France's national smart grid. My role combines building robust backend services with Spring Boot and scaling heavy Big Data processing via Apache Spark (Java) and Airflow. Facing nation-wide data throughput, I focus on query optimization and architectural resilience — recently achieving a 61% reduction in execution time for core Parquet data generation pipelines and an 87% drop in memory usage across our Hadoop cluster. I also leverage AI-assisted workflows (GitHub Copilot, custom agents) to accelerate delivery.

December 2025 — August 2026 · 1 year Lead Frontend Engineer & Architect · Alva.care

Evolving and structuring the front-end architecture using a Next.js, React, Tailwind CSS, and shadcn/ui stack. Focused on driving application maturity through Clean Architecture principles, strictly isolating business logic with Zustand. Responsibilities included developing key features, optimizing the codebase, and providing technical leadership to the team.

January 2023 — April 2024 · 1 year 4 months Senior Front-End Engineer (React) · Nabla

Front-end (React) for Nabla Copilot, an LLM-powered clinical assistant. I owned the web application and the Chrome extension: token-by-token text streaming, asynchronous state shifting while the doctor is mid-consultation, and a perceived-latency budget close to zero. Building a dependable interface on top of a non-deterministic system is an architecture problem before it is a UI problem. Designed and shipped the web app's V1 in two weeks by building on the existing Chrome extension, then rolled out later iterations progressively behind feature flags.

February 2018 — January 2023 · 5 years Lead Frontend & Fullstack Engineer · Thales

Evolved from Software Engineering Intern to Lead Front-end Architect, driving technical excellence on critical projects for major healthcare and energy clients. Healthcare (bioMérieux): Architected and developed full-stack medical applications (Angular, Spring Boot) handling sensitive data for millions of patients. Led the cloud migration to AWS (Lambda, Cognito, Terraform) and mentored the front-end development team. Energy (EDF): Built an offline-first Angular tablet application for field operations, focusing on high performance, complex state management, and seamless data synchronization without connectivity. Other projects: Engineered Thales' technical assessment platform from scratch, featuring secure, real-time code execution within Docker containers.
